Honesty

You were not moved?

There, in stony contemplation

I watched sneakers abandoned

At the red rim of rosy expectations

This trampoline of hearts

As the rustling of incense

Never stopped

And the throwing of halves

Postponed anxiety

Gazes fixed for mercy

on the distant goddess

There, in the incensed casino

Of longing I felt dishonest

Observing honesty

Trusting chance
